Education and Early Career
Following law school graduation, David began his legal career as a prosecutor, representing victims of crimes on behalf of the state. This not only provided him an opportunity to hone his trial skills, but served to cement the foundation for his commitment to advocacy and justice that would define his career.
Later, he moved to civil litigation, focusing on personal injury and medical malpractice cases. The shift allowed him to continue his mission of helping people during catastrophic moments in their lives while holding negligent parties accountable. Many recognize David among the most influential lawyers in New York, a testament to his exceptional legal skill and dedication to his clients. Previously serving as President of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association, he advocated for stronger consumer protection laws and pushed for improved safety regulations across many industries.
Throughout his career, David has secured numerous significant settlements and verdicts for his clients, including, a $15 Million settlement for a client who sustained severe and permanent injuries due to a misdiagnosed stroke. It was the largest medical malpractice settlement in New York State in 2020, according to TopVerdict.com. David also claims one of the highest medical malpractice verdicts in the state in 2021, achieving a six-figure jury award on an extremely challenging failure to diagnose a rare bacterial infection case. In 2024, he obtained a $1.9Million settlement prior to trial for a medical malpractice victim who sustained a brain injury in the hospital.
